美國植牙醫學會(ADIA)台灣總會於2011/12/25在台北正式成立以來，非常感謝各位會員的共襄盛舉。期間與台灣牙醫數位學習學會(tadel)密切合作，陸續推出許多數位課程，不少會員同時也透過這些課程取得ADIA 的學分認證，因此也順利申請到專科醫師資格。為了服務全球更廣大的牙醫師，美國植牙醫學會(ADIA)已於2013年正式更名為國際植牙醫學會(IDIA)(International Dental Implant Association)
國際植牙醫學會(IDIA)是由ICOI前會長Arun K. Garg博士在2008年創立，結至目前為止，全球會員人數已經超過5000名！成立的宗旨在建立各領域牙科專業人士的溝通合作平台，提供專業教育以提升植牙技術，以及向大眾推廣植牙的益處。
Garg博士認為數位學習是目前專業教育的必然趨勢。為了更強有力地支援IDIA全球會員提升專業、技術與個人生活，IDIA結合tadel在牙醫數位學習領域的優勢，強力推出可全面採計數位學習學分的專科醫師認證制度，以及大量的牙醫專業數位學習課程。使得台灣的牙醫師在本地即可成為IDIA會員，並且進一步在本地即可取得IDIA院士(fellowship)、高級院士(mastership)和最高院士(diplomate)的專科醫師認證！
IDIA美國總會每年會在拉斯維加斯和邁阿密各舉辦一次研討會，為會員醫師提供最新的植牙繼續教育課程與植牙廠商的最新產品訊息，目前已經成為國際最頂級的植牙專科醫師認證機構之一！為使亞洲的牙醫師也有機會成為IDIA正式會員，以及認證成為IDIA植牙專科醫師，為了進一步服務台灣的牙醫師，IDIA美國總會再次任命曾明清醫師擔任IDIA台灣總會長，在台灣牙醫數位學習學會(tadel)的協助下，進行IDIA台灣總會的推廣工作

Since its founding in 2008, the International Dental Implant Association has grown to become one of the world’s largest medical continuing education alumni networks. Designed for students of Implant Seminars’ continuing education and live patient programs and also clinicians who have taken similar courses, the IDIA provides a wealth of online and off line opportunities to share ideas and discuss the latest trends shaping the entire dental profession while enhancing doctors’ individual knowledge base. Having grown into an organization of some 5,000 members, the IDIA is fast becoming dentistry’s go-to educational and networking resource.
